I bought today this amazing album from a local store; Tim and Greg, the twin Hildebrandt brothers, are the renowned fantasy artists who created the paintings for the famous, bestselling JRR Tolkien calendars. The book shows their ideas materialize from the initial sketches to the awesomely magnificent finished paintings, reflecting Tolkien’s characters and settings in great detail.

A special feature is the inclusion of a large pull-out poster of an original painting created especially for this book. I am very happy with my acquisition – a wonderful book that every Tolkien devotee will want in his/her collection!
